The SAHC Crest prior to 1964 depicts an ancient Greek or Arabian Night lamp that signifies learning.
The SAHC crest currently in use, has been introduced in 1964. The lamp symbolises learning, the castle strength through knowledge, the fish and rice bushel are the traditional economic activities of Kedah state.
The SAHC Old Boys' crest was in use from 1925 until 1975. It depicts three fish,a sheaf of padi, a castle and a lamp.
The SAHOCA crest has been in use since 1975
